What is the NCC Benevolent?

The National Caravan Council Benevolent Fund (NCC BF) was established in 1976 by six key caravan industry leaders, initially to help those current, past or retired employees who have been involved with the caravan industry who found themselves for various reason in challenging circumstances or experiencing financial difficulties. The help since the start has ranged from small grants to help with much needed maintenance, or unexpected bills, to larger grants to help provide heating, or building alterations to cater for a change of lifestyle such as the need for wheel chair access and ground floor bathroom or bedroom.

Over the 30 years this has been once of the industries best kept secrets, which has silently served the industry well and the trustees of the charity, without shouting from the roof tops, have managed to grow the fund to where it is today.

It is however time to reveal this secret and to help with this aim in 2010 the NCC BF changed its status so that it can help, not just those from within the caravan industry, but others who are need.

With the help of some key caravan industry sponsors the NCCBF have moved into an area close to their roots caravan holidays - and are now able to supply, through a partnership with Happy Days Charity, both a touring caravan and a caravan holiday home so that children who would not normally experience the delights of a caravan holiday and all it has to offer can now spend a week with their family enjoying the pleasures many of us take for granted.
